Bee Products from Our Family

We invite you to taste the organic bee products carefully crafted by our family.

Our father, Nikos, taught us to love nature and the bees, and we strive to create the highest possible quality for our family, our friends, and our guests.

MICHALIS

Michalis, the only son in our family, learned from a very early age to love, connect, and collaborate with bees and nature.

Following his studies as a Veterinarian at the University of Thessaly, he decided to return to our village and, working alongside our father, offer not only the most pure products, but also his valuable knowledge in beekeeping.

Naturally, he will also lead you on a truffle hunting adventure with our favorite dogs—an experience he is truly passionate about.

ROYAL JELLY

Royal Jelly is the glandular secretion from the hypopharyngeal and mandibular glands of bees. It is a liquid with a creamy texture, intended for the nutrition of the queen and all the immature stages of the bee.

It is a protein-rich and fatty food with many vitamins, mainly from the B complex, with a milky appearance, intense acidity, a certain peculiar odor, and a slightly bitter taste. Royal Jelly has many beneficial properties for the human body and is a very good nutritional supplement.

With passion, we collect fresh Royal Jelly during the spring months in our apiary located in the Gergeri area. It is a product of excellent quality, offering many benefits to the consumer's body.

ORGANIC HONEY ANEGNORO

The locals named the unique-in-Europe tree, "Anegnoro", when they spotted the "Zelkova Cretica" tree, an unfamiliar sight, inside the Rouvas Holm Oak Forest. They had not encountered anything like it elsewhere.

The honey, also called "Anegnoro," took its name from the pollen grains of this tree. It is collected from May to October and is a multi-flower honey. Its components are provided to the bee by the forest's flora (at an altitude of 900m – 1850m), which is characterized by the rarity of certain plants, such as the Cretan Cyclamen, Cephalanthera, and trees like the Anegnoro and the Kermes Oak (Lioprini).

These characteristics, combined with the purity and unspoiled nature of the Cretan landscape, make the "Anegnoro" honey a product of exceptional taste and high nutritional value.**

Cretan Honey "I Riza Tou Psiloriti" (The Root of Psiloritis)

This exquisite Cretan honey is produced by bees thriving in the pristine area of Gergeri and its surroundings. Its name, "I Riza Tou Psiloriti" (The Root of Psiloritis), is owed precisely to this unique location: the foothills of Mount Psiloritis, where the diverse floral nectar is collected.

There, our beehives utilize the richness of the Cretan nature, gathering nectar mainly from thyme and pine, complemented by the wild flowers and herbs of the area. The result? A rare, complex honey with a characteristic flavor that leaves the imprint of Mount Psiloritis.

PROPOLIS

Propolis is a natural substance produced by bees from resins, wax, essential oils, and pollen. Bees use propolis to seal and sanitize the interior walls of both the hive and the honeycomb cells. Due to its potent antibiotic and antimicrobial properties, it is widely used for various therapeutic purposes.

Our propolis is collected from apiaries located in the Gergeri region and its surroundings, as well as the unique Rouvas Forest. It is available in its raw, unprocessed form, as well as in the form of a propolis tincture.

It is a powerful natural supplement that boosts the immune system, strengthening the body’s overall defenses.

POLLEN

Bee pollen is a granular, golden-yellow substance collected by bees from the flowers of various plants. They mix it with nectar and secretion, carrying it on their legs back to the hive to feed the young generation, known as the brood.

It is naturally rich in proteins, carbohydrates, fats, minerals, terpenes, and carotenoids. Due to its high concentration of proteins, essential amino acids, vitamins, and enzymes, bee pollen is a highly beneficial addition to the human diet, offering immense biological value.

Our bees primarily collect pollen from local flora such as Wild Mustard (Vrouva), Savory (Thryba), Poppies, and Rockrose (Cistus/Ladania), among other native plants of the region. It is a natural product that promotes well-being and longevity, providing numerous health benefits to the human body.
